I found it. 18+ campsite. 21+ cabins.
Yes, we did exactly that. A couple of the cabins at Mohican State Park are dog friendly but be sure to make reservations for the dog cabin in advance and make sure they've got all their shots.
Yes
Yes you can.
e. Yes
Porta potties everywhere
It is Nov first week Oct through the 6 is there street fair
No, but a nice camp store provides many camping items, including fishing poles and waterproof belt envelopes to safely store cell phones when tubing and canoing.
Yes, on dogs allowed in camp sites as long as immunization records are provided if asked, and owners are courteous enough to clean up after them. No one likes a mouthy dog, but well behaved ones are always welcomed. We always bring our two Shih Tzus.
Yes a great place to park is the covered bridge area. There's plenty of hiking trails out from that area
The go to spot in the summer and anytime of the year, especially for locals! Only thing is trash has been getting more worse this year than any! This must be fixed mainly about the trails from the bridge to falls... Keep it clean people. Always been a yearly trip and will always be back!!!
Fantastic place to go. An old friend showed me this place a while back but I never came back until recently. Took a walk down a 3 mile trail following the river and the entire scenery is just so gorgeous!
The cabins were very nice and updated. My only complaint were the mattresses. They were very hard and not very comfortable to sit let alone sleep on. It gave me terrible back pain. But if you don’t mind how mattresses are and love a cozy little cabin along a river, these cabins are perfect for you.
Stinks tubing was closed with the covid 19 bs. But everything else was pretty decent. Good time to bring a big barrel of swish and get blasted.
I used to come here when I was a kid to canoe with my cousins. We were looking for an outdoor place to meet my husband's parents halfway between Columbus and Cleveland and this seemed like a good place. The first weekend we were there, it was sunny and packed full of people. The second weekend it was cloudy and looked like it was going to rain. There were still a decent number of people, but it wasn't nearly as crowded. For hiking, we parked by the covered bridge. There's more parking by the campgrounds when it's crowded. The covered bridge by the river is gorgeous. We did the Lyons Falls Trail combined with the Pleasant Hill Trail which I think was about a 2.5 mile loop. We saw two falls—Big Lyons Falls and Little Lyons Falls. Neither had much water, but they were still pretty. We also saw the Pleasant Hill Dam which had good views. This is a decent place to come hiking, but I think canoeing or tubing down the river is a more popular activity.
Awesome campground, beautiful scenery. Wish the camp store was open, but hey it's a pandemic right? I totally understand. This place is definitely on my visit again list!
Love this state park. All time favorite in Ohio. So much to do here lots of hiking trails, scenic overlook of a gorge, lookout tower to view the hills, and even a dam. Would definitely recommend coming in the fall for beautiful foilage.
This place is clean, quiet, beautiful and lots of fun.
Great little state park for hikes and camping
Challenge your mtb skills. Took a group of decent riders over 3 hours to finish this trail at a non race but non casual pace
This is a great park they have a nice campground, one of the nicest in Ohio State Parks. The trails are amazing, especially the mountain bike trails here are lots of fun to be had at Mohican.
Will always enjoy going here. Very clean and nice for hiking, picnic and fun in the river.
Shouldn’t have the park open if your not cleaning the bathrooms with large amounts of visitors ....yuck !!
Great campsite! Staff was friendly, wore masks. Site was clean and roomy for our tent.
If your looking to get off grid (out of cell phone coverage) this is the place. Lots of beautiful views and trails, friendly helpful staff. The campgrounds was almost full, everyone pretty much kept to themselves, but was friendly.Dog friendly, clean well kept showers and restrooms.
Nice hike from the covered bridge on the west side of the river to the dam then back on the much easier east side. About 5 miles when you include the excursions to the 2 waterfalls.
Hi points of this Hotel are the grounds/walking trails and public spaces. My critiques are related to value. At well over $200 per night, the room was disappointing. VERY small bathroom and tiny TV set were not impressive. The indoor pool was nice, but again at this price point and calling itself a "resort", a whirlpool would have been nice.
One of the nicest state parks in Ohio with really great hiking trails. It can be a bit over crowded, but that is expected with nice places.
Nice spacious camp sites and reasonable rates! Lots to do very close by too!
Great place. Can’t wait to come back
Nice park, always busy.
Great views, and home to one of the best Mountain biking trails.
BEST CAMP EVER it is huge and a nice camp we went there stayed 2 weeks very nice rangers cabins are cozy camp spots are nice
If you love big ol' trees and a whole lot of green, here's the place to go. State park campsite was about what you'd expect, and trails were all well-maintained and quiet. Highly recommend, and I'll definitely be coming back in the summer when it's warmer.
We love camping there the river is great it's a lot of fun
Will definitely go back! Great views on the trails. It's big and there is plenty to see and do. It's a beautiful place to go hiking! I'm sure it would be fun to camp, kayak, canoe or fish there as well.
One of the nicest state parks. Love the camp grounds too.
Have camped at one of the hike in spots and what a great experience. Awesome place with tons to see and check out. Have also kayaked from the covered bridge on down, done tons of fishing there as well. Do yourself a favor, camp here!
This place is a gem! About an hour drive from Columbus. There are many trails that supply a great adventure for all levels. Beautiful landscape. I’ll be back
We had an awesome time today exploring with our family. This is a beautiful place with some awesome hiking trails. The water fall and all of the rock formations were very cool to see. Thanks so much for keeping this place so beautiful!
Best place to day hike in the area.
Mohican deluxe cabins are spotless and conveniently located in the shade, beside the river. We will defintiely return! Their linens and kitchen dishes etc. were just what we needed and in great shape!
We went to Mohican State Park for a little end of winter/early spring getaway and had a fantastic time. We stayed at one of the cabins, which was so lovely. It was fully equipped for cooking and was super comfortable and cozy (the gas fireplace and satellite tv made the evenings glorious). We loved our 8 mile hike from the cabins to the river. It was so scenic and not super strenuous. The staff was also really helpful. The park is pretty much off the grid entirely, so don't expect much cell service, but we liked that aspect.
The area is full of natural beauty. Took an almost 11 mile walk on one of the fairly challenging trails and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Some fantastic hiking for people at every/any level. Beautiful scenery. A ton of camping sites, or stay at the Lodge (big rooms, two pools, bar, restaurant, awesome patio connected to food facilities). Canoeing. If you want a nature getaway, go here.
Horrible experience, the management team was extremely rude. Came to our site twice to “warn” us to behave and said we can leave and get our money back right now. Profiled us.
Peaceful. Calm. Little cellular service. My only concern is the poorly trained campers who will occasionally walk right through your campsite. Rude. Poor etiquette. Bad manners. Ignorance. All of it. I've never experienced it anywhere but here.
Home away from home!! Love it there
Love their cabins with the river fronts . Very enjoyable!!
Always a great place to stay so much to see and do here
Great river to hike around. Not the best primitive camp sites, but great car camping and cabins.
A friend and I went here to trail ride for our first trip here. We loved it beautiful park trails r well kept horse trails are easy yet semi challenging we will definatly keep coming back
Beautiful place to visit. A lot of outdoorsy stuff to do in the area. Check out the Mohican Lodge 20 minutes up the road as well.
Been coming here for almost 40yrs. Love it here. The sound of the river and the beautiful Forest and park are so relaxing!
What an amazing Ohio State Park! This was my first time to camp here and my family had a fantastic time! The staff were friendly and very helpful. This park has so much to do without ever leaving the campground! Hiking, fishing, cabins, mountain biking, swimming pool, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, and a very nice camp store that even includes ice cream! Many of the sites are full hookup. The river runs through the campground. Many sites are situated along the side of the river. But for everyone else, there are many access points to get into the river. Before you go, but your river tubes on Amazon and save some money! The sites are a bit small, but I did not feel crowded. I will definitely be back again next year!
Most beautiful place ever!
Great space and the bathrooms/showers are nice as well. Not a whole lot to complain about plus plenty of shade and river access is through thought the camp.
Great place to explore, camp, hike. It's gorgeous and so many trails
I’ve been going to Mohican for years! I have hiked, biked, camped, kayaked and ridden horses all over this park and don’t plan to stop any time soon! Plenty of family activities in the area as well.
